At the time she won the New Muse Award, pj flaming had recently ended six years of work for a political action/lobby group. She has written/published/delivered essays, articles, poems, speeches, street theatre, columns for newspapers and periodicals, legal and political pamphlets, public briefs, and newsletters. She co-produced community art and writing festivals in East Vancouver, and was active performing with the Downtown Eastside Poets in Vancouver. Originally from Alberta, she was last seen working on more poetry and a novel in the Border District of a country where boys wear skirts. And she liked it that way. voir dire was pj flaming’s first poetry collection.
