Heaven of Small Moments
Allan Cooper

“moments of estatic oneness”
Atlantic Books Today

“In their choice of detail, their phrasing, their sense of rhythm and attendant line breaks, the poems show fine craftsmanship ... It is unusual to find such poems in contemporary poetry ... so finely tuned to the living quality of things, and that are expressions of a loyalty that is spontaneous and without reservation.”
— Marc Plourde

Heaven of Small Moments — a manscript finalist for the Tilden/CBC Canadian Literary Awards in 1995 — was Allan Cooper’s first full collection of new poems in 11 years. Cooper has twice won the Alfred G Bailey Award (1987 and 1992), and is the author of eight previous collections of poems including The Pearl Inside the Body: Poems Selected and New (Percheron) and The Deer is Thirsty for the Mountain Stream: versions from the Chinese, Japanese and the Book of Psalms (Owl’s Head Press). Allan Cooper is a poet and musician living in Alma, New Brunswick, on the Bay of Fundy.
