Great Lakes logia, is a small clutch of readymade impressions of the Great Lakes. It featuring the creative output of over 30 writers and artists from across Canada: from Paul Dutton’s keystone poem, “The Eighth Sea” to 1940s artist’s diary excerpts, from fictional accounts of Japanese-Canadian POWs on Lake Superior to artistic interpretations of Marilyn Bell’s Lake Ontario swim, from Georgian Bay to the mythologised Niagara Falls, from the detritus of floating debris to the church of beach ... This anthology was published as a contribution to “Great Lakes: A Collective Exhibit of Art, Poetry and Writing” at York Quay Gallery, Harbourfront Centre, Toronto, in the summer of 2001.

Joe Blades is the editor of Jive Talk: George Fetherling in Interviews & Documents (Broken Jaw & BJP eBooks, 2001); the author of casemate poems (Waterloo ON: Widows and Orphans, 2004), Open Road West (Broken Jaw & BJP eBooks, 2000), River Suite (Insomniac Press, 1998 & BJP eBooks, 2000) and Cover Makes a Set (SpareTime Editions, 1990). A visual artist, and community radio producer/host, he lives in Fredericton NB.
