Nela Rio is an internationally-known Argentine-Canadian writer with several books published including Cuerpo amado / Beloved Body (Broken Jaw, 2002) and During Nights that Undress Other Nights / En las noches que desvisten otras noches (Broken Jaw 2003) with translation in English by Elizabeth Gamble Miller. Rio lives in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada.

Jill Valéry est écrivaine et traductrice littéraire. Elle a rédigé de nombreux articles sur la littérature canadienne-française; elle traduit de l’anglais et de l’espagnol. Ses publications comprennent l’essai sur le Canada francophone dans Longman Anthology of World Literature by Women (New York : Longman, 1989). Son oeuvre la plus récente est une traduction de poèmes de Fred Cogswell, qui a paru dans la revue ellipse. Jill Valéry vit à Fredericton, dans le Nouveau Brunswick.
Jill Valéry is a writer and translator living in Fredericton, NB. She has written extensively on French Canadian literature, and translates from English and Spanish. Her publications include an essay in the Longman Anthology of World Literature by Women (New York: Longman), and essays in The Globe and Mail. Her translation of poems written by Fred Cogswell appeared in ellipse magazine. Valéry is also the tranlator in to French of the Brian Aitkinson and Nela Rio book Sustaining the Gaze: When Images Tremble /
